Fireflies

Description

When I first drafted this pattern, the dart shapes whirling around each other reminded me of fireflies dashing about. Hence – the first colour scheme I chose was the bright yellow, orange and red shades for the darts against a dark blue background for the night sky -see cushion right of centre in the photograph above. The cushion also works well in softer and more traditional fabrics.

The pattern can be adapted to use five colours (cushion on the far right of the photograph) or just three colours (cushion on the far left of the photograph).
